Le Monde Card
Terms & Conditions
By purchasing / using the Le Monde Card, you are agreeing to the following terms and conditions.
- The Le Monde Card is issued by Saltire Taverns Ltd trading as Le Monde
- The card remains the property of Saltire Taverns Ltd
- Saltire Taverns Ltd reserve the right to amend or waive any provision of these Terms & Conditions from time to time and at any time, or to terminate the Le Monde Card programme on reasonable notice
- Saltire Taverns Ltd reserve the right to terminate your Card at any given point in time if we determine that you have violated any provision in the Terms & Conditions
- The Terms & Conditions applicable to the use of a Le Monde Card shall at any time be the Terms & Conditions published on www.the-card.info
- Before you use your card for the first time you need to credit it with funds
- When you add funds to a Le Monde Card for the first time we will ask you to provide your name, address, email, mobile and date of birth. This enables us to identify you should your card be lost or stolen.
- Except as required by law or in accordance with these terms and conditions your personal information will not be passed to any third party without your permission
- By completing a Le Monde Card application you consent to receiving offers and information from Saltire Taverns Venues only. You can opt out of our mailing list at any time by visiting www.the-card.info or by following the instructions contained in any promotional email or sms you receive from us.
- The card is available for purchase and use by over 18s only
- Where a signature strip is present on the card, the card must be signed by the person who will be using it
- The monetary value that you load into your Le Monde Card may be presented for full or part payment on food, drinks and admission charges in Le Monde's Bars, Club and Restaurant.
- The card cannot be used to pay for your hotel account
- The balance available will be reduced by the value of each payment you make using the Le Monde Card
- The Le Monde Card cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash, and no change will be given
- If the payment amount exceeds the remaining value on the Le Monde Card you will be required to add additional funds to your card or make payment using an alternative method.
- The Le Monde Card cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer, discount or loyalty scheme
- To add funds present your card at any till point and inform the staff member of the amount to be added
- Top ups can be paid for with cash or a debit card. Top ups over £100 can be also be paid for with a credit card. Cheques will only be accepted for corporate events, in which case the value of the cheque will not be credited to the card balance until the cheque clears.
- The initial addition of funds must be a minimum amount of £50
- Top ups must be in multiples of £10
- After the initial balance, the minimum top up amount is £10
- Your card is not a credit, debit or charge card. It is a prepaid card and should be treated like cash in a wallet.
- If you lose your card or it is stolen you may lose the balance held on the card in the same way as you could lose cash if your wallet is lost
- The card is an electronic money product and as such, any claims relating to it will not be covered by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme. Saltire Taverns Ltd do not offer any other compensation schemes to cover losses claimed in connection to your Le Monde Card.
- Le Monde cannot be held liable for cards that are lost, stolen or damaged
- In the event of loss, theft, damage or if your card malfunctions, upon notification we will cancel your card. Saltire Taverns may, at it's sole discretion, replace your card with a new one loaded with any available funds still remaining on your card at the time that you notify us. Usually any payments that have been made or any losses you have incurred prior to you notifying us of these circumstances will no longer be available to you
- Replacement cards will be issued during office hours
- You will need to provide us with your name, address, and date of birth in order for a replacement card to be issued and funds transferred
- Replacement cards can be collected in person at Le Monde Edinburgh or can be sent to your registered address
- Saltire Taverns Ltd reserve the right to charge a £2 admin fee for each replacement card in the event that you are issued with more than one replacement card in any 12 month period
- If you subsequently find or retrieve a card you have reported lost or stolen you must notify us immediately
- Cardholders are not sent statements of itemised transactions from a Le Monde Card account
- You can check your card balance at any till point upon presentation of your Le Monde Card. Balance enquiries are free of charge
- Your account balance will also be displayed on your till receipt
- All queries regarding transactions should be made in writing to Le Monde Administrator (Le Monde, 16 George Street , Edinburgh , EH2 2PF ) or lemondecard@lemondehotel.co.uk.
